Poly Aluminium Chloride (PAC) Powder is a high-efficiency, spray-dried inorganic polymeric coagulant derived from aluminium. Available in various grades (typically 25–30% Al₂O₃), PAC powder is widely used in potable water treatment, wastewater management, and numerous industrial processes due to its high charge density and superior coagulation performance. The powder form offers long shelf life, ease of transport, and is ideal where liquid storage or dosing is a challenge.
PAC functions as a pre-hydrolyzed polymeric aluminium salt, capable of rapid charge neutralization and floc formation. When added to water, it causes colloidal and suspended particles to destabilize and aggregate into larger flocs, which then settle or are filtered out. The high charge density enables effective turbidity and color removal at lower dosages than conventional coagulants.
